These drivers think they own the road and can drive however they please. They fly out of the school driveway when they are picking up at the end of the day. I was trying to pull in to a parking spot yesterday 05-23-17 to pick up my children and this bus #133 accelerated toward me so I couldn't park thinking she would scare me but I did anyway then has the gall to call about my driving, Really!!! There is absolutely no reason you cannot let one person park before you pull out and you do not have to drive that fast and like a psycho pulling out of that parking lot. Then this am doesn't that same entitled idiot whip around a corner and almost hit me while I was stopped at a stop sign. Yeah, that's someone who should be driving children..
I wish I could give no stars. This bus company is horrible. I've seen Coppola bus advertise for drivers on job sites. They pay minimum wage. Very unorganized, uninterested in the children's safety. They go through drivers like people go through toilet paper. I have to wonder if they even screen employees. Has anyone actually checked if they do a Cori or background checks on these drivers? They have a head count of children but I don't think they have actual names or know what children are on their buses. Their bus drivers speed up and down streets & cut people off. My daughter's have had three new bus drivers since September. Buses are always late. One day it was 50 minutes late dropping kids off and they just don't seem to care. I really wish the city of Haverill and the school department would step up like North shore cities have done and hold this bus company accountable for children's safety and well being.
I was driving on Main St this morning at approximately 6:45 and as I slowed to stop at the red light at Ginty Blvd Bus 115 who was behind me pulled next to me in the far right lane. I was in the middle and I was going to go through the light and stay in the left lane. Well the bus driver decided he wanted to check the bus' 0-60 time and he stomped on it and as we approached the intersection he literally just pushed me into the left turn lane at the next lights. Luckily the revving of his engine made me look over so I was able to avoid him side swiping my truck. He then proceeded to swerve in and out of traffic like he was at NH International until he finally turned off onto North Ave. I feel sorry for any children that ride that bus, and it won't be long until that driver hits somebody. So if the company reads this, mark my words. Check on who the driver was and be prepared for a lawsuit when he causes an accident. The guy is reckless
City of Haverhill should seriously reconsider their relationship with this shoddy bus company. Just take a look at all of the one star ratings, almost all of them are direct safety concerns, it's pretty obvious these aren't isolated incidents... Kids should not be subject to consistent reckless Driving, makes you wonder about their background check and cori process. Hands down, worst driving I've ever seen from any bus drivers and trust me I drive 10,000+lbs vehicles over 1000 miles per week, hold a DOT card, massport certification and have logged over 3,500 Lyft rides in Boston with a 5 star rating on their platform. These schmucks are worse than the crappy cabs all over Lawrence.
I don't want to give any stars!!!! Bus driver took off with my 6 year old still in his seat, then yelled at him when I called the bus company to let them know she left without making sure he got off safely. Owner of Coppola told me, I should be glad he got home alive and in one piece. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he said " I am the owner, go complain to the mayor" He then went on to say "I can't do nothing about people who call out sick, we need bus monitors." He then offered me a job as a bus monitor. Unsafe bus company, Haverhill should look elsewhere for transportation for our children.
